When the builders of this San Diego home reached out to us for design help with the bones of this house, we had no idea we would see it through from the ground all the way up! But, as we picked out flooring and paint colors, the buyers loved our choices so much, they wanted us to keep going with the design process–which, of course, we were happy to do! Having just moved back to San Diego, a coastal influence seemed most appropriate. Of course, as a young family, they needed something durable, long-lasting, yet, still completely beautiful. The Master Bedroom
With three kids under the age of five, we wanted to give our clients a bedroom retreat. We decided on a tranquil blue for the walls and highlight color. Not only does it create a relaxing environment but it’s also classic and will remain in style for years to come.
The Living Space
This home had an amazing open concept that allowed us to coordinate the flow of the kitchen, dining space, and living room really well. Keeping that relaxing light blue in the mix, we added pops of tan and dark wood to bring the whole space together. In order to keep it kid-friendly, we used wood-look tile flooring and durable fabrics that are easy to clean. While we definitely took longevity into account, each piece was also selected for its design and beauty. We have to say, it turned out exactly as we hoped!
To be a part of a project from the beginning is always special–especially when it means working with such a sweet family! We hope they love this home as much as we loved designing it. Thanks for reading!
