A Transformation by the Bay

One of the best parts of design is creating transformation. This next project began as a home with exciting potential and, through careful planning and design, was shaped into an amazing space. The owners recently downsized to this home with incredible views of downtown San Diego, Mission Bay, and the Coronado Bay Bridge. However, the interior was lacking compared to those spectacular views. By removing a few walls to open up the space, we let the light in and made the whole room more functional. Plus, now the sights of the city skyline and the bay were able to be enjoyed from any spot in the room. Finding a color palette was easy—the clients already owned a stunning Aaron Chang photograph and wanted it to serve as our primary inspiration for the space. Pulling creamy whites and shades of robin’s egg blue, we transformed the home into something breezy and tranquil where they could easily unwind. Check out the before and after photos to see this beautiful transformation!
